Peter has visited 26 countries and attended as; director, torchbearer, or volunteer five Olympic or Paralympic Games in; Calgary, Torino, Beijing, Vancouver, and Milano-Cortina. He also ran the ancient stadium at Olympia in homage to the athletes. His adventures span; being a white-water rafting guide in the Rockies, running a marathon in Montreal, a curling gold medal in Budapest, and playing 101 holes of golf in one day to raise funds for Red Cross refugees. Peter finished a three-decade career as a rules-based portfolio manager and serves as Governor of Golf Canada and as past Director of Finance at the Canadian Paralympic Committee, and graduate of the Olympic Academy of Canada, completing a life lived with passion, purpose, and curiosity.
As an eleven-year project to make connections from history, Peter read all of Will and Ariel Durant’s scholarly eleven-volume “The Story of Civilization.”
