Gid Pool

Standup Comedian | Keynote Speaker

Cruise Speaker Biography

Gid Pool is an award-winning comedian with the experience and professionalism to engage a wide range of audiences and deliver consistently strong presentations. His cruise speaking career spans 19 years with Celebrity Cruises, during which he has sailed on 108 cruises.

Pool’s life story has been featured on NBC’s Today Show and profiled in The Wall Street Journal. That national recognition reflects what makes his program distinctive: it combines proven comedy and communication skills, genuine inspiration, and a compelling story of the comedy stars of yesterday that stays with audiences long after the presentation ends.

Pool comes to cruise speaking as the author of “Act Two,” his book on reaching your dreams later in life. He brings a wealth of knowledge from the business world, journalism (where he received a worldwide award), and keynote speaking, including engagements for AARP.

He has taught improv comedy skills at the nation’s largest community theater and on cruise ships, as well as communication skills.
