Who is Roy Prevost?
Roy and Sarah Prevost have been lecturing on Cruise Ships since 2008. They have delivered lectures on 23 sailings with the following cruise lines:

Wanting to share the benefit of their experience, they founded the Cruise Speaker Academy in 2015. Since then, the Academy has helped retired professors, lecturers and professional speakers from across North America realize their dream of becoming cruise speakers and travelling the world for free.
What makes the Cruise Speaker Academy unique in the cruise speaker agency world?
We are unique in that we do not charge a per diem fee to our graduates for any cruises.
We ask only for an initial investment in our training, mentoring and coaching program.
That is the extent of your financial commitment. We do not believe that a retired professor, speaker, lecturer should pay a per diem for the privilege of speaking aboard a cruise ship.
What kind of accommodations can we expect on the cruise ship?
It depends on the cruise line and whether the cruise ship is fully booked.
For example, on the first leg of one cruise, we were given a luxury suite with a balcony.
This is rare, but it can happen. For the second leg, we were given a handicap designated suite. This was a first for us. The bedroom was extra-large and the bathroom was enormous; it was a unique experience and very enjoyable. For the third leg, we got a standard suite with a floor to ceiling window.
The takeaway is that we have learned to be flexible and open to whatever the cruise line provides. As a rule, our accommodations have been more than acceptable.
Do the cruise lines cover all amenities on my cruise?
No, any extras such as alcohol, spa sessions are on your account. Depending on the cruise line, it can be quite expensive. I recommend that you ask your speaker coach about some strategies to save you money on your cruise.
